recently the Tuesday group have been exploring the local community in & around the blyth area.

we have been exploring heritage and wildlife areas, learning a bit about the history of blyth and combining this with getting exercise and fresh air.

using the local Arriva bus service has been great for boosting travel training confidence, considering the environment and using the local resources in our community.

a few weeks ago, the group travelled on the bus to seaton sluice and then walked back to blyth, following the coastal footpaths to the blyth battery and coastline cafe. we stopped for some delicious & well earned refreshments, before getting the bus back into Blyth town centre.

it was definitely a walk everyone enjoyed and one we are keen to repeat soon.
