Fundraising with Enthuse

Journey enterprises are delighted to announce a new online tool, called Enthuse, that enables the charity to take online donations and set up fundraising events/projects.

For people who want to support the charity, and raise funds, this an easy way of collecting your donations from your generous donors. This will also give the charity the opportunity to support clients who want to raise money for specific items, resources or even a day trip/holiday.

Our first goal is to raise money to buy kitchen equipment for our new hub, and to fund the repairs caused by vandalism on 2 of our mini buses.

fundraising projects 

Journey welcomes fundraising throughout the year in aid of the Charity. We rely upon the combined support of our local authorities, grants from charitable trusts, our small enterprises and your inspiring community fundraising. 

All of the income raised provides direct services for people with learning disability living in the North East.

As a regional charity we have a small staff team without professional fundraisers and marketeers. We do not undertake direct marketing or unsolicited fundraising. So, whether it’s skydiving, cake baking or sponsored walks, if you have a fundraising idea, please tell us about it: we really do need your help. We will provide you with a fundraising pack showing that you are raising funds in aid of Journey.
If you would prefer to give a regular donation through payroll giving or by standing order, please contact us and we will provide you with the information you need to set up a regular payment. And, if you are a UK taxpayer please complete our Gift Aid form so that the Charity can claim Gift Aid on your donation.

Our application form is in four parts.

Your answers in sections B and C will be scored by the selection panel against the published essential and desirable criteria. Section A and D will be separated from the application and will not be seen by staff involved in the selection process. You may attach up to 2 continuation sheets (A4) for section B. Please do not attach a Curriculum Vitae.

Journey Enterprises is responsible for safeguarding vulnerable adults and young people in its services. ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

We can only shortlist people who have all of the essential criteria for the role. This is to ensure have people with the right skills, experience and knowledge.

English & mathematics: good pass

A good pass is a grade C of above at GCSE/O Level.

English and mathematics skills are particularly important for roles working with our Clients, many of whom have literacy and numeracy deficits and who rely on our Staff for training and support in these areas.

NVQ Health & Social Care & Equivalent Training This is an essential requirement for Life Skills and Hub Manager roles. Hub Managers must be qualified at Level 5 in Health & Social Care. Life Skills Coaches require either an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or experience and qualification as an upper secondary teacher or career adviser:
  • We can accept applications for Life Skills Coach roles from qualified secondary teachers with at least 3 years post probationary SEN experience at upper secondary level (years 12/13).
  • We can accept applications for Life Skills Coach roles from qualified and experienced IAG practitioners who have supported young adults/adults with disabilities seeking training and employment.


Administration Roles

We set out our minimum criteria for Administration roles including the software and systems experience you will need to work successfully at Journey.

AGENCY EXPERIENCE

If you have been employed by an agency (umbrella organisation), we need to know which employers you have been placed with, not the name of the agency.
